OUR PURPOSE
To provide young people with real-world opportunities to practice the durable skills they need to explore and increase their readiness for post-secondary options.
The Challenge
Imagine starting a new job or college program without any practice runs or map to help you navigate. That's the reality for many high school graduates today.
Traditional education focuses heavily on academics, neglecting to provide students with real-world experiential learning opportunities.
Students graduate without the chance to test the waters, explore their interests, and build a tangible portfolio of experiences that showcases their skills in a real-world context. This limited experience puts them at a disadvantage when it comes to making crucial high-stakes decisions about their future.
Teachers and advisors are overwhelmed, lacking the capacity to offer the essential planning, coordination, and scaffolding needed for widespread work-based learning experiences.
It's time to expand access to authentic learning opportunities so high school students can develop the durable skills and confidence they need to tackle future challenges.
87% of graduates believe work-based learning experiences are crucial for career preparation
